Two weeks ago, we provided some suggestions for the Blue Jays batting order.
Within that posting were suggestions to Josh Donaldson and Russell Martin to respectively not always swing for the fences and to hit to right field (or to the opposite field).

Since that posting, the Blue Jays bats have come alive. A lot more players are beginning to go with the pitch and instead of trying to pull the ball with every swing, they are hitting the ball to the opposite field…and with some power!

Donaldson smashed a couple of homers to right field shortly after our posting.

Meanwhile Martin has been hammering the ball into the opposite field alley.

Even Go-go smashed a homer over the left field fence.

And what about Pillar and Barney? A number of great hits into right field helped to sweep the Yankees last week.

Whether this blog had a positive impact on the team or whether it was purely a matter of time before the Blue Jays began producing runs like last year, we are extremely pleased that the Blue Jays have recently taken flight winning four series in a row.

They are three games above .500 as of June 3rd, 3.5 out of first and 2.5 out of a Wild Card play-off spot.

We hope that they continue their winning ways!

In the meantime, we will continue to provide our tips (when necessary) to help the team secure a play-off spot.
